Why do I talk so loudly?

Question:
When I speak to people I shout or talk loud. So I try to speak quieter but I can't. Also I alway ask my partner to turn the T.V down coz my ears feel sensitive. I hope some one can help.

Answers:
because ya have hearing loss to some degree in both or either ears....see an audiologist soon to rule out something serious...good luck...ps,i once had a piece of cotton lodged for years in my ear and didn't know until i couldn't hear in that ear.and the pain ...
i think your ear have prob... usually ppl talk louder because they can't hear. better do the ear check up for sure...
Geeez. My nephew is like that. Constant, excited hollering. Standing less than arm's length away.

It's exhausting.
It might just be a bad habit from being in noisy places, or growing up in a home where you had to be loud to be heard.

Several times a day, remind yourself to speak more quietly. Over time, it will become more of a habit to think about how loud you are being, and to lower your voice.

good luck. I had the same problem at work. I'm so loud! Everyone in the cubicles around me started asking me questions about my personal life and I was so embarrassed when I realized they heard me EVERY TIME I argued with my husband or my Mom (She watches my kids while I'm working). Ack!
.
Apart from possible hearing probs, maybe you are wanting attention, maybe you want ppl to notice you & accept & like you.......it is something I do much to my partners anoyance.
