I have been seriously depressed. I didn't want to leave the house and was so sick that I would want to throw up every morning. It was the worst thing ever. Then I got Lexapro and it helped me out
Yes and it is a horrible existence. Counseling and medication helped.
Yes. My doctor prescribed anti-depressants and it helped.
Yes.
I got help from medications and from talking therapy. It helped a lot!
Yes, I have. I ignored it for months and took a long time before I got help, so it just kept getting worse and worse. Finally I talked to my doctor about it. Talk therapy and medication have helped a lot. Any time depression lasts for more than two weeks, you should talk to a doctor.
Yes, I think I am going through something like that right now.
I recently got broken up with. Since then, I've been extremely irritable, and I haven't slept or eaten much. I find it difficult to complete the most menial tasks because I can't stop thinking about my ex - where he is, who he's with, and what he's doing.
If you're going through something similar and you ever want to talk about it, e-mail or instant message me. Feel better.

im there all the time it sucks
I can relate :-) Back when I was in Grade 5, I had serious depression and my father was so worried and even cried begging on me to do something or just anything because he wanted me to see doing at least something but I did not.
Once a person has depression you cant force or tell her what to do or do something because wheather you like it or not he or she will be in his/her world that you can't even relate.
When I had depression back then all I could remember was I don't eat anymore, I slept whole day and night, spending time alone, don't laugh or smile, always thinking seem like, thinking about suicide or better to be left alone and just want to die...seemed like you don't see the meaning of being alive.that's based on my experiences then...
The reason I got depressed? I have no idea.I really don't know why I went through to that moment it happened so fast. I was not broken hearted or anything. Now I am 25, I still get depressed but not as serious as back then. I have it for over 10 years now but my husband is helping me out.
Yes and yes, and yes and did I mention yes.

Yes anyone can get depression, hey abraham lincoln did, and he got over it, so you will in a matter of time. trust me, your not alone. I feel depression is more than just feeling sad. They have long periods of time when there feeling down, and can become extremely tired. i have had that plenty of times, you start to loose interest in the things you once enjoyed, and get lots of tension in your body including headaches.
If you are doing drugs that can make you depressed, and make you loose interest in what you used to love. It can leave your life in ruins--just like a tornado. But there are is things you can do to help make you feel better.
Take excerices, eat right foods, but most importantly tell your parents so they can give you therapy and medications.
I'm sure there are a lot of people who can help you, it's not going to disapear right away, it will take time, day- by day.. but it's worth the wait.
you can get through this, just have faith.
Yes I have. That's I feel right now. As I sit in my room with the binds closed.
