I have constant anxiety attacks.?

Question:
and they've been increasing in number lately.
They're never severe, but they happen often enough so that they get in the way of my ability to function.
The question: Is there a certain way that you de-stress, so to speak, in order to keep your anxiety at bay?

Answers:
You could very well have hormonal issues at play here. Many hormones, when out of balance, can affect mood. Most notable are thyroid, progesterone and estrogen. A simple blood test could check your levels. Thyroid disease is very common, especially among women. Progesterone and Estrogen imbalances are common also, especially among woman age 35 or older.

Personally, I wad a multi-level wammie. I have an underactive thyroid and will have to take synthroid for the rest of my life (it's a cheap med, so no biggie). Partly because of the undiagnosed thyroid issue, I began having panick attacts in my mid 20's. Those are awful. Then, when I turned 40 and perimenopause set in, all hell broke loose. I was a basket case. For me, a daily low dose of Prozac has worked wonders and has given me my life back.

My husband was concerned about the Prozac and so was I. I didn't want to walk around "goofy" or anything. But it doesn't make you feel "different" (at least the low dose I'm taking). I describe it as the same as taking asprin for a headache; the headache is gone--that's all. With the Prozac, the anxiety is gone--that's all.

Good luck. I urge you to speak to your doctor about your anxiety issues. There is no reason to go thru life like that. And there is no shame in needing medicine to fix your problem. If you were a diabetic you would take insulin, right? This is the same... your body does not function properly in regard to managing your moods.
If you don't see a therapist, maybe you should give it a try. They really can help you out. They've probably been increasing in number lately because anxiety is a progressive problem. Generally, it just tends to get worse as time goes on if it is left ignored. Don't just shrug this off.
That used to happen to me all the time. I had mione because of overwhelming guilt. So I just owned up to what I did and it went as fast as it had come.

In another case I would just have a panic attack, I just stopped took a couple deep breaths and concetrated on the sunshine or a flower or a little kid running around. Pretty much just think of something that makes you happy.

Another thing that worked for me is to just when I get that feeling is to just to write down what I am feeling. Let out what ever I am thinking about at that moment. It can only get out of controll if you let it build up.

All the luck in the world to you, I have been in your shoes...
Yes: see anxiety, and stress, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris... on pages 6, and 7, and practise daily, and when needed, one of the relaxation techniques on page 2; also try the EFT.
Take a vacation to clear your thoughts.
First see your Dr. and get some medication such as Xanax. Then start see in a Therapist not a Psychiatrist all they do as they are also an M,D. where as a Therapist is not is fill you full of a bunch of pills you don't need. You may also need an anti-depressant. See your Dr. soon I have had panic & anxiety since I was a young girl but back then (as I am 50) now they just called a nervous child!! So don't let it get you for long , Good Luck
I had a couple of times. I was so worried and stuff.
I listened to music to keep my anxiety low or read a book.
THERE'S A HOLE IN MY HEART THAT CANNOT BE RECOVERED
if your anxiety attacks are caused by junk food, you can begin by cutting out all the junk food in your diet. You know - the soda pop, frozen dinners, potato chips, fast food restaurants. Shop in the produce dept and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Limit your drinks to pure water from purified water machines [don't drink the tap water]. Do this for 4 weeks and see if you feel better. Really ..
