the best thing you can do is find a friend you can rely on and ask for help, you can also take a break from work(if you do work)and relax, maybe even party, thats my favorite thing to do when i'm stressed is party!
start an excercise routine
Oh trooper, things will get better. Is there anything inparticular that's getting you down or just that you feel like things arent going anywhere? When I get depressed days (I was diagnosed with depression a few years ago but now feel a million times better) I try to think of 3 things in my life that are good. It could be that you're grateful for having a roof over your head, the sun is shining and you have a family that are sticking by your side. When I actually started taking anti depressants they made me feel really wierd and sort of spaced out (but I expect it has a different effect on different people and the different type of medication you've been given). I really had no energy it was awful. Then I started drinking loads and loads and loads of squash. Not sure if it was my body desperate for water, or the sugar in the squash, but I gradually started to feel better. I've now got my life back, and I never thought I'd feel happy again. I also took up A Level German and Sign Language which was something I had always wanted to do! Just keep going and don't give up. Things will get better. Once they get so unbelievably rubbish they go off the bottom of the rubbish scale and top on the top of the fantastic scale :D
go to your family doc he is the one who prescribed my anti depressants, are you having bad dreams or hearing voices?..if so you need to tell your doctor about that as well, there are plenty of types of antidepressants, but 1 in particular Wellbutrin caused me to hear things, and yes I am serious here, later I found out it was a side effect but in any event you can get help and you owe it to yourself to get a doctor to diagnose you there are also mental health clinics you should call around and see who is in your area that can give you mental healthcare for a decent cost, sounds to me like you need some other people to talk to as well, but do a search on suicide and there should be 1-800 numbers or you can call the boystown national hotline and they will refer you to someone, take care and good luck, what you are going through is normal and you can get help, if you are feeling guilty about something and that is bringing on these feelings of you wanting to hurt yourself then call a Catholic church and ask when the Father holds confession and where it is held, he is vowed to an oath of silence and will listen to your troubles and who knows there may even be a church group of people who are having similiar issues, you never know until you get out there and look for help
i had a break downlast year. go to you dr. and get some antidepressants. they don't work over night but they will help. be careful some of these have bad side effects. a lot of drs. will give you too strong a dose. take a couple of weeks off and chill out it will get better.
The best way to find help would be to go to the nearest hospital and find out about their mental health facilities. they should be able to recommend you to either a doctor or a clinic where you can get the help that you need it is possible to find help with little money you have to do a little research.
After forty years of therapy on and off I have found the best one and the one that I feel most comfortable with at a city hospital. Some times public hospitals have bad names but now a days you get doctor who choose to be there because it's that place where they feel that make the most difference. So don't rule out public hospitals, I"m thanking God for sending me my current psychiatrist. He's gentle, smart, empathetic, sympathetic and he wants what's best for his patients so he'll tell them what they need to hear not just what they want to hear.
