Coming off Risperdal?


Question:
Im curious to know if anybody knows how long the effects of risperdal (or antipsychotics in general) continue to affect the mind after cessation. I'm trying to get off and im wondering how long the mental dullness will last. Thanks

I was in a mental hospital several years ago, and was forced to take risperdal.. I immediately stopped cold turkey when I was released 3 days later. It took about a week to get back to normal. For the entire week I did nothing but lay in bed all day and did absolutely nothing productive. I congratulate you for wanting to get off that stuff.
I was on Risperadal for a while, and (keeping in mind that i lowered my dose very gradually) I was done with any side effects within a week. If you just stop taking it suddenly it will last longer
