Does a panic attack make everything feel like its going in slow motion? and make you feel confused?

Question:
Does a panic attack make everything feel like its going in slow motion? and make you feel confused?

Answers:
For me a panic attack just felt like I had a very hard time breathing, that I was completely out of breath for the duration of the panic attack, which lasted about 10 minutes. My body felt a bit tingly at the time, but that might of be the location. (I was trapped under snow for about 30 minutes after a small avalanche and tingliness may have been the cold or soreness from a few hours of snowboarding)
I kinda feel like I'm going to black out. Breathing is more difficult, I definatley have to think about breathing more. I guess you can say slowmotion...everything becomes blurred and I'm just overrun by emotions and I just kinda shut down to deal. I usually have a headache afterward. I kinda lose feeling in time and space. They suck.
Not necessary.
Depends to that person.
Due to lack of oxygen & blood flow rushing thru some ppl. can feel like everything's moving rapidly except themself which some otherwise.

Usually doctors, will tell the patient to close the eyes.
Cover your body/shoulder with your hand around & sit down or squat down & breath slowly..counting numbers or alphatbets. Thn slowly get up for some water. If there are occasional pain in the chest or blackouts; either lack of blood or other symptoms thus advisable to head to the doctor.
I've never experienced that, but I'm sure it's possible for some people. I do get confused and feel like I can't think at all when I'm panicking, then I start getting more panicky thinking that there's something wrong with my brain...you know.

Rapid heart beat, sweating, feeling like you're going to pass out...sometimes I get where everything goes fuzzy or I can't see (like I'm about to black out), people may say you look really pale during an attack, you might start hyperventaling (yet thinking you can't breath) and that can cause chest pains that can last for awhile...I often feel tired and overstimulated at the same time during a panic attack.
My daughter has panic attacks. She feels like she can't breathe deeply enough, and starts to feel faint. She also gets really hot and sweaty. Sometimes it sets off an asthma attack. She does get confused about what's going on around her, but doesn't get the slow motion thing you mentioned.
Hi, sorry to hear you’re feeling bad. I've heard other sufferers describe that "slow motion" feeling, so I think it is fairly common. The following steps will eliminate (or at least significantly reduce) your panic attacks:

1.Breathe properly - if you control your breathing, you control panic. As soon as you notice the signs of anxiety, check your breathing: breathe in slowly through your nose pushing your tummy out (to the count of 5 or so). Breathe out slowly and for a bit longer (to the count of 7 or so) through your mouth. Do not breathe rapidly or shallowly (in the chest area). This will soon restore the balance of oxygen and you will feel a lot better.

2. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy! CBT is proven to be the most effective thing for panic attacks, OCD and anxiety etc. It takes a bit of work, but it is super effective. (After 15 years of panic attacks, mine stopped completely). You can speak to your doctor about taking a course or you can take a course for free online at: www.livinglifetothefull.com

3. Try relaxation exercise tapes (progressive muscular relaxation). They really help if you practise often enough. You can get free downloads online, e.g. http://www.studentservices.utas.edu.au/c...

With each step practise makes perfect. (i.e. practise the steps every day, not just when you are feeling bad). I hope you feel better soon. Best of luck!
