How many people commit suicide by jumping off of bridges?
Question:
"Im thinking of jumping off the bridge".
"Please don't, hold on and well come get you".
I just dont get that.. Do they expect people to just sit on the side of the bridge and wait till they send someone?
Answers:
Yes they do and you should really try one, but you have to talk and say something when they first pick up the phone or they will hang up. You need to see a doctor i am going thru the same thing right now, and think, if you die or kill yourself think of all the other people you will effect, freinds familly, suicide= not the way to go.
Hope this helps

Never have I known or even heard of someone jumping off of a bridge to commit suicide. Its always been shooting themselves or something like that.
Suicide phonelines work by helping people change thier mind about committing suicide, or at least delay a suicide attempt and try non-terminating means of getting through the pain. You may be picked up and put on suicide watch to make sure you dont have a small lapse of will and re-attempt.
To answer your question, suicide by jumping off a bridge is relatively uncommon - I can't say why because of the nature of YouQA.com .
