Feeling Really Anxious and Depressed About The Begining Of This Semester?

Question:
I feel extremely depressed about going into this semester because I had a pretty bad semester last time academically and personally (I was suffering from mental illness and had an emotional breakdown). Everytime I think about going back to campus, I get tight in the chest and I start crying. I use to enjoy going back to school, but now... I am so scared of what may happen. What are some things I can do to have a more positive attutide about returning to campus? Mentally, I can't say I am much better but I feel more determined to make good grades and I realize my mistakes.

Answers:
First off go easy on yourself. An emotional breakdown is draining I have def been there. When I went back to school going to a therapist was what really helped me in the end. I felt so different when I came back and I wanted to prove I was okay. Remember to have a support group and know all your triggers if they may be stress or whatever. Being aware of what is happening to you will prevent you from overwhelming yourself again. There is also no shame in breaks or going part time. I have done both of those myself. Whenever you get any of those feelings of tension make sure you have someone you can talk talk talk these things out. Also an outlet like a sport or something else fun helps break up the day nice. Good Luck to you this semester. Im sure you will do fine you seem like you are very determined.
u r not alone i broke down in college too sond did 3/4 of mt friends the odd man/woman makes thru with out incident. School is strerssful specailly if u go away and fall into the drinking/grugging try and stay above wter its worth it to finish
Just speak to your doctor and follow their advice.
You need to stop worrying about "what you think might happen". Nothing is the same the previous year. This always makes things worse, and it doesn't help. You should seek help from a pyscologist for some therapy on this. It might become serious if it goes on. They might prescribe something to help with this. Theres alot of things that can help, your Doctor also might know. Just go and see one as soon as possible, before you go back.
Although this may sound completely crazy, I actually am just a real normal person.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Sins are lying, to yourself or others, lusting, and on and on... If you've ever sinned (we all have) then you'll have a huge weight on your shoulders and your "spiritual vision" will be distorted. You've got a lot of determination to accomplish your goals,...but are you going in the right direction? Will you really be fulfilled when you get there?
God is the only true satisfaction a human can have... Not church, not religion, God's Kingdom, returned to us through Jesus Christ.
Turn to God for answers... not yahoo... haha.. just kidding... no, but for real though.. turn to God for real answers..
Your determination to make good grades is admirable.Take some of that determination and take 1 step at a time. If you're going to live on campus, go back before time and work on your room then go out and just walk around campus, this may take a day or so, just go as far as you can comfortably then go back to your room or go away from school al together, then the first day back at class you can concentrate on your classwork and classmates. It may take a little while but if you have the determination to do it then it can be done. Good Luck !
If your not feeling much better what you need to do is get the proper treatment for the mental illness you are suffering from for starters. Unfortunately, you can't talk way the fear and anxiety and under the circumstances, your fears are very valid because you fear failure. You can't fix what you don't have the ability to control without effective treatment. Effective treatment will manage your symptoms thus allowing you to bring out your personal best with confidence. Life doesn't have to be such a struggle as there is plenty of help out there. I admire your determination and with the right tools your best will shine through :)
