I know what you mean i can spend an hour browsing suddenly the evening is over. but i try to make sure i do my cleaning, talk to friends online and make plans to do other things while i surf
i also love cooking so always interrupt it by making an elaborate feast in the evening of vegetables.
only go on when you're bored. you need to really rethink ur life if u are denying time with real people to talk online. but if u genuinely enjoy being on there so what?
if u like it u like it, and plus being online helps you learn loads.
the only reason i dont like spending too much time online is bcoz time seems to disappear like 3 times faster

make a priority list...and maybe limit yourself 15 mins in the morning and afternoon as a break
Sometimes I feel that way too. Remind yourself of the things that need to be done. Think about how important it is. If you don't do it nothing will get finished. You should feel guilty, and then just turn off the computer and finish what you need to do. Think about it this way when your done with everything important you can use the extra time to surf the web.
get into sports, go outside, garden, go for walks, join a church other kind of group

Maybe if you find a book that you hear is good then start to read it you'll not want to be on as much!

yea the internet's more addictive than cocaine i head... the only thing i can say is - just don't go on it to start, wake up and say "I ain't gonna go on the computer today" and of you cant do that, at least take a few hour breaks to get outside. thats why mankind has all problems and diseases- cuz all anyone does is sit on their a s s all day on the computer (work or home) then when you get home from your office job where you sat on your a s s from 9-5 then you go home watch t.v. in your recliner (maybe go on the comp. some mo?) and drink beers.. eat food that might as well be plastic too...
so if you dont want cancer and abnormal posture and cataracts, and irregular blood pressure, calcium or sodium blood deficiency.. and a bunch of other s**t... at least try

The first step would be to not check your answers, but you have already skipped that step. On to two, now just like with any other addiction you should replace one bad habit with a new and better one. Try a more physical activity such as sports or maybe join a gym. I would call those healthier addictions. If all else fails unplug the computer, flip the circuit, and don't pay the bill.
Just remember, it's all in your head!
