A mom burned herself and her kids alive. Why didn't her doctor treat the psychosis?

Question:
http://www.dailyherald.com/story.asp?id=...

This is sooo sad! Why wasn't her Dr. looking out dor this? If psychosis is an effect of this disease (MS) why wasn't the neurologist screening for it?

Answers:
So sad. In this world we will have troubles, but our Lord Jesus Christ overcomes this world.

Doctors are often overworked. The human temptation to ask "why did God allow this", is being extended to doctors, in this question.

Doctors are NOT all knowing NOR all powerful!. Don't charge God foolishly either!

God "allows" this, because He promised us the freedom of choice. We wanted the right to choose good OR evil in the Garden of Eden. God allowed it, but the trade off is that we die!

Are you "pro choice"? This was abortion AFTER 9 months. Murdering innocent babies is sad too.

God allow this because He promised us the freedom of choice. Look what we have done with it!

The law OKs abortion, but not post-birth "murder"...but God is the ultimate judge.

Stay tuned for the "exciting conclusion" to your life(and this so-called MOM), on the "other side", in the after-life!

Read Matthew 25: 35-40.

We have some good hints in the Word of God...

Psychotic breaks are often unpredictable. There may or may not have been any signs that she had lost touch with reality. In addition, neurologists are not psychiatrists. Unfortunately for this woman and her children, it is not possible to "screen" for a pending psychotic break.
maybe she was a total different person when she saw a doctor. Well where I live a man tricked a 9year old girl to let him in her home and raped her at gun point and then he got away from the cops. And they still have not found him yet.
Yes, this is tragic, but I don't think there's enough information for anyone not involved to answer your questions.

Where does the article say she was going to her doctor for regular check ups? How do we know she wasn't chosing to NOT follow doctor's orders?

Or are you one of those poeple who likes to blame everything on someone else?
Who knows if she was actually going to a doctor regularly. The article just mentions police involvment and that she suffered from MS, it doesn't mention anything about a doctor or if she receiving treatment. You also have to take into consideration that the culture in India is very different from ours. Maybe it was frowned up to address this sort of thing, or see the doctor. I've read that in India it used to be the tradition that if a woman shamed a family, she (or the family) would light herself on fire. Maybe this is what happened. Maybe not. Unfortunately no one will ever know the motive for this very sad tragedy.
It's very, very easy to fool people. That's why everyone is so shocked when they find out things like that this. If a person truly wants to kill, WHY would they tell anyone? They would keep it a secret so they can carry out their plan.
