I cant sleep at night..because im scared.?
Question:
For the past month I havent been able to sleep.
I must turn all 4 big lights on in my room..
and stay up all night because im scared someone is going to hurt me..
noone threatened me and this just randomly started happening..
I can barely even sleep in the daytime unless one of my family members are with me and right next to me the whole time.
this past week I have gotten about 20 hours of sleep..
does anyone know what might be wrong with me?
or any suggestions on what I might be able to do to help myself?

Nothing will happen unless you lock the door. If this does not help try talking to your mom maybe when she was your age she also felt the same way. If not maybe she can give ypu more good advise.
you know what is wrong with you still u ask us ...lady in the whole world are the only person who has done such deeds that he/she is scared of being hurt.
people have got much better things to do rather than hurting you ..
have faith if you have'nt hurted any one no one will bother to hurt you
WOW Sweetie, that really must be tough. Sounds like you are dealing with an irrational fear. Although someone may have not threatened you personally...have there been any incidences in your area of young girls being hurt in their rooms?? Somehow this has gotten into your head and the quicker you find the source the quicker you might be able to get some sleep!
Do you think changing your sleep location would help? Would you feel safer on the couch/living room? What about having a friend stay over a couple of nights to help wash those thoughts out of your mind?
I would say that if you can't overcome this and trip to the doc might be in order, just because it sucks to lay there and be frightened...and I am sure you just dread going to sleep, to just lay there and worry! *HUGS*

try talk to someone, family or close friend... u need to relax a little, exercise, pick up a hobby.. go for slow walk or best still - a summer vacation. u need a break!
Sounds like some kind of anxiety disorder. You need to see a doc and get some meds. Xanax may help, but don't be prescribed diazepam, nitrazepam, or tomazepam they are all very addictive and you can build a tolerance to them. You def need to talk to a professional about this tho, sleep deprivation can make you very poorly physically and mentally.
Maybe you should see a doctor, but no one is trying to hurt you. Look, if your worried about someone hurting you, you should get a bat, a stun gun, or something to make you feel secure. Other than that, you shouldn't worry about stuff you cant control. There isn't much of a difference if your awake when someone is breaking in or if you wake up when someone is breaking in.
Well you are having panic attacks which can be treated by your doctor or you could be having a premonition, don't want to freak you out but that is totally not normal, go with your gut feeling and be careful.

try talking to someone, and to get you to sleep take 1-2 benadryl, when i cant sleep i take that it knocks you out if youre not used to taking it.
first of all u should know that which thing scared u...
just listen romantic songs when you would go for sleep.
