I'm scared about starting a new job?
Question:
I got laid off from that job & I'm starting a new place where I'll be working w/some former colleagues. The new job is definitely over my head in many ways, but because I was offered it, I want to give it a shot. I'm just not confident w/my abilities to handle people & situations that I messed up in the past. I feel like I have to be a whole new person, yet I don't know who I need to be & how to become a new person
I'm taking a big chance at messing up & I'm afraid of this. I feel awful about looking like a fool again. My reputation in the industry is a joke
What do I need to know & do to not be a weak victim of bullying again?

Hello JM. I´m going through a similar situation!!!!!. I also feel that is going to happen again. It is soooo important to get over it (I mean the dissapointment and insecurities). It is normal that you are afraid after what happened. But you must get over it, maybe talking to a psychiatrist or friends. You have to work in your self confidence. I am sure you have strenghts. I think having accepted this job is a sign of how great you are. You are a person that accepts challenges. Now all you have is to work hard and be opened to meet other people (although you were dissapointed in the past). You HAVE TO THINK POSITIVE. If you feel that you are going to mess up.you will. So think positive and imagine yourself having success. I wish you the best. Argentox2@yahoo.com
