Am I bipolar?
Question:
This makes me wonder whether or not I have it. I can stay extremely happy for like weeks and then dip into a low. But I don't have thoughts of suicide, extreme worry, etc.
Answers:
depends. there are several different types of bipolar. there is rapid cycling, there is one where you get angry, it just depends. if you think u have it, go see a professional to get diagnosed
You're depressed. Bipolar goes from one extreme to the next in a matter of minutes.
I have bipolar and that's not really how it is for me. Usually you have to be at an extreme low (as in suicidal) and extreme high
I would say probably not, I have a niece who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and she would not go a week without being at her lowest, her highs were extreme highs and her lows were estreme, there was never a in between with her, and noone ever knew when she was going to lose it. Only a medical doctor can determine that for you, however, you do realize that we are all entitled to have different emotions, I think sometime people are a little to quick to label themselves as depressed or have anger issues when in reality they are just experiencing normal ups and downs. Good luck
Please see a Professional and tell that person what your symptoms are - and tell the truth and all of it.
Don't listen to how other people feel or act, and stop looking it up -- have it checked very soon by one who is knowledgeable in this problem.
Different people can have different symptoms and many times real Bi Polar is not easy to diagnose.
This is not the place to ask this question - ask your Dr - and ask if he/she thinks you should see a Specialist.
It's unlikely that you're manic or bipolar. Occasionally feeling blue is normal, however a person who is bipolar would suffer from severe mood swings in a much more rapid succession. I hardly think you qualify as such.
I agree with everyone else, if you think it's a problem then you should see a doctor about it. But understand that, as with most mental disorders, it's typically not diagnosed as a disorder unless it prevents you from functioning normally.
With me, for example, being manic can mean skipping out on classes or work simply because I can't handle any stimulation without having a meltdown. Everyone can at least "partially" diagnose themselves with numerous mental disorders, because no one is atually "normal". That doesn't mean we're all mentally imbalanced.
