My problem is i have to do things evenly. I dont no why but i do or i fear something horrible will happen. Here are a few things i do : -

1. Look up at the hole in my bedroom celin twice before i go to sleep.
2.Move my clock 20 times before i go to sleep.
3.Hot my bed 4 times before i go to sleep.
4. I f i touch something with my arm i have to touch it with my other and the same with feet.
5. This is stupid but if i see something like 2 varietis of chocolate i have to buy both because i feel sorry for the other one. Same with the last one in the shop and things, i have to buy it and they have to be of an even number.

What should i do to overcome this. Its taking over my life! thanks x

I suffer OCD. You are starting to show some of the signs of it, but does not seem to impair your life yet. That is the big key. If it consumes you and makes life miserable then you need to get help.

I would start by telling my parents. They can help.

At your age medication is not a good idea.

There are self help books that can help.

Therapy can help.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the gold standard for OCD. Teaches you how to overcome this disease.

First and foremost, go see a child Psychiatrists. They can give you the proper diagnosis. They just maybe itchy to give you drugs. Under the age of 18, antidepressants can sometimes do more harm than good.

But there is help out there. Just depends on how bad you really are.

Since you are saying that it does really consume your life and you are counting steps on the pavement, you need to go get help now.

Tell your parents. Find a good shrink and therapists to help you on this journey.
I have something like that I have to do certain things like make sure everything is facing the right way or my mum will die stupid things really etc, etc...
I cant go to the doctor but I will soon...
Just do lots of research on wikihow and google if your still worried go see the doctors

I hope all goes well xx
Unless these behaviors consume more than a few hours of your waking time to perform, your mom is right. These are more "quirks" than compulsions. If, however, performance of these ritualized behaviors DOES significantly interfere with your life (e.g., you do not socialize with friends b/c performance of the rituals takes to much time, you don't get enough sleep b/c the thoughts about the rituals occupy your mind), then it would be wise to seek treatment.
YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR I AM A OCD PERSON AND YES YA GOT IT IS NOT THIS HORRIBLE AND YES IT CAN TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE GET HELP BEFOR DEPRESSION SNEAKS IN THEN MANIC DISORDER WILL FOLLOW GET ON THE PEOPER MEDS AND YOUR MOM IS NOT LISTENING TO YOU GOD BLESS YA DARLING AND GOOD LUCK EMAIL ME IF YA WANT
it doesnt sound serious, and its true eveyone has a bit od OCD in them. i dont think its OCD but it may be something.is this really taking over your life? a few seconds doing somthing before you go to bed and having to buy 2 brands of things (i often do this) its just one of your clicks.but if it truely is taking over your life and really upsettng you (only the wearer of the shoe knos where it rubs) then see a therapist.
Yep, OCD, go to a doctor for guidance.
Sounds more like a control issue.
What would happen if you did not do something?
Life would continue, right?
Try it.
