2. Try and figure out who you are. Don't let it fall in your lap. Work for it.

You sound like you want to be hopeless. Maybe you should spend some time with people who have a reason to be (the homeless, terminally ill, people in nursing homes) and it will help you appreciate your own life more. What do you mean federal aid won't help you, do you have a drug conviction or something? If your parents offer you help and you won't take it, you can't really feel sorry for yourself for not being able to pay for school.
It's possible that you are depressed. Talk to a doctor. Start exercising to release endorphins and ensure you diet is fairly healthy. Do you have a pet - that might help too. Good luck!
What might help is letting someone actually get close to you. You already said you're trying to keep a positive perspective so I can see you're willing to try to fix this. A lot of people would just live the rest of their days like that but you're actually making an effort so congratulations, that's the first step.
Its not pointless! If your good at something you should practice more at it! Youd get paid for something thats NOT pointless. I once felt this way and trust me.. I didnt even wanna get up lol but then i realized its cause I was doing things i liked and was okay.. but i didnt LOVE it. when you like something its a matter of time before you get tired of it. You should be doing something in the art industry that way you wont get bored! Youd wake up every morning excited to go to work. And being excited to go to work would also raise your self esteem. and as hard as this sounds instead of staying in your room try going out to places like the mall, cafe, get to interact with people! then you could just meet that special girl ^_~. well this is i could say lol! good luck!!♥
It sounds like you are depressed. Do you have any friends? Sometimes when you talk to other people they can help put you in a better mood. Have you tried exercise? I always get in good spirits after a good workout. Maybe you should talk to a professional. Good luck
