I need a way to deal with stress?
Question:
My mom has a heart problem and she smokes
My dad is a drug addict addicted to alcohol (Seriously he gets drunk every day and goes through pills like they're candy.)
My mom and I have been wanting to leave but we don't have a lot of money so we can't leave on our own.
The reason my mom smokes is because of the stress of my dad.
When my dad is drunk he's pretty mean and he's constantly fumbling around falling and breaking my stuff, and then whenever he runs out of medicine(After he takes it all in less than 3 days after he gets it) he blames it on me. Apparently I'm a drugaddict in his eyes. (He's stupid. I don't do drugs, I don't smoke and I don't drink.)
I've considered smoking, I've heard it helps a lot.

Look, you are not the only person who has a rough life. Remember that there is NOTHING in this world worth killing yourself for. Imagine how more stressd out your mother would be if you did that. that would be absolutely horrible. Maybe your parents health is out of your control, but yours is completely in your control. Dont give up now. Get out to relieve stress and meet new people who will maybe give you more reason and hope to continue to live and eventually get passed this. I honestly love to go to the gym and work out. It has great benefits all around. It makes me feel completely stress free b/c you dont have the time to think about that while your running or lifting weights. Also it could help improve your health and make your body more attractive. And you will meet other great people =) Please dont give up, think about the future and how much can change in 5 years. You have so many options to get YOUR life going well

hi there, mm, have you're mother ever considered getting divorced with your father since he is having bad influence on you guys. have you ever tried talking to your parents about how bad the situation is? try talking to them, especially your dad. do not start smoking even though it may reduce stress. just try to take long walks sometimes and get some fresh air, or even run/jog. music also helps relaxes you, try classical music, such as mozart. try to find some counseling, it might help. there are plenty of free centers in your local area, you can go online and search for them. you can find them onlinegood luck!
this is what I do to relieve stress...
step 1: lock yoYourself in you room and sit down on your bed.
Step 2: Take 5 deep breaths ( in and out)
Step 3: Think of 3 positive things in your life ( it can be about anything: friends, school, life, about yourself. LIKE THAT UR NOT a DRUG ADDICT)
Step 4: now that your relaxed get out a piece of paper and write a letter to ur dad or mom or whom ever made you stressed.
Step 5: put all ur feelings in the letter then when your done rip the letter up
Step 6: if ur still not calm listen to music... NOT DEPRESSING MUSIC calming or positive music

Hi, for me when I am stressed the thing I like to do is listen to really relaxing music. I cry, I dance, and I draw. I am horrible at it but it calms my nerves.Also I read, I read, I read. Reading takes you away and calms you down. I write when I am scared. Write your feelings on paper to get them out. Smoking will NOT help you in the end. It may calm you for a minute but it's extreamly hazardest to your health. Suicide is never the answer to such a problem.
A shelter may be your only answer. Just until you get on your feet, another thing is NEVER quit school. Get a good education and go to college so that you can support your mom when your older. I wish you all the luck in the world If you ever need help call a hotline.
Stress can arise for a variety of reasons. Any change in our lives can be stressful. In dealing with stress, the lifestyle needs a complete overhaul.
