Is there something wrong with me?

Well I'm not sure if I should get help with this...

I'm a serious figure skating competitor and i weigh 90 pounds. Everyone else my age weighs around 80 or 70. I feel really sensitive about this...

I literally can't eat over 600 calories anymore and i skate and run for about 2 hours a day. once a week I have a huge eating session where I eat just about everything in the house and then I'm back to 600 calories. I know this is unhealthy but should I get help.. and if this is an eating issue what is it? I've dropped 15 pounds...

My first question for you is how old are you. If everyone else is 70 to 80 pounds and you weigh 10 pounds more could simply be because you are maturing faster than they are, which is not a bad thing and absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I can assure you that the people you compete against in Figure skating aren't worried about your weight. They are worried about the talent that you are bringing against them. As for you only 600 calories a day, you need to put yourself on a strict eating plan.. If you consider yourself a serious figure skater then you need to act like one.. It starts by fueling your body with the appropriate nutrition it needs to function and perform at its best. The reason you keep going up and down with your eating patterns is because you are starving yourself and then binge eating so your body can recover all the nutrients it lost while you werent eating.. To be healthy you should learn to eat 6 small healthy meals a day. Have a good mix of proteins, carbs, and drink lots and lots of water.. Just consuming 6 glasses of water a day can help keep your weight down.. Please start being smart about your eating patterns or you are going to slowly develop a major eating disorder, which IS BAD!!

everybody needs to treat themselves, it's only normal.
but maybe try and have a meal of your choice and then dessert, rather than going on a binge and eating everything in sight.. i know this can be difficult at times but stay strong. . .

YOu need help. You need a therapist and a nutritionist. It sounds as if u r bulimic.
Definitely get help especially if you've been cutting yourself. I think you probably weigh less than you should that actually depends how tall you are and your body frame. It's good that you know what you're doing is unhealthy and even though you know that I understand it's still hard to quit but talk to your doctor, therapist, coach, or parent, or even a caring friend as soon as it gets too out of control and you end up in the hospital or worse.
you really should get help. Clearly you don't have a problem recognizing your issues therefore you're not badly off. How old are you to be weighing in 90 lbs? If you have eating binges like that and then keep to a super strict diet, you seriously have a problem that sounds like a version of anorexia. You should stick to a balanced diet of healthy food, and no excessive eating. You can definitely eat more than 600 calories though. That's just crazy.

And about the cutting- If you really have a problem you should see a therapist, but it seems that you might have other issues that have you screaming for attention.

Everybody should see a therapist, you definitely need to see one, as well as a nutritionist.

hmm, do you really want to win in the Skating-competition thing? being a winner feels heaven, right? i think you should not do that once-a-week-eating-habit. it is like you're eating more that 600 calories everyday if you didn't stop. i wish you to win! goodluck!
well u have to remember r they healthy?? or do they look like skin and bones and wen ur datin and everything is a guy going to want to date a girl who when she's in a bekini or even a one peice he can count all her ribs or one were she looks healthy and down to earth?

Take Care of Business with YOU, forget the other emaciated, souls--You have a date with the social aspects of life, you need to have it together for yourself, feel good about yourself, and most of all you are the most important aspect of your success in the world of figure skating. Only YOU know what you need to do to fact your facts for the type of competitive sport you have chosen to excel in to meet your needs as a human being, Life is really, really too short. Get serious, FACE YOUR FACTS!!!!!!!!
