I want to be generally happy?

Question:
I'm never really happy. I can't ever find anything to be happy about. I mean, I sometimes am. But now truly it seems.
How can I just be generally happy with everything?

Answers:
First you have to accept yourself just as you are. It is good to want to make improvements, but you have to be accepting of yourself right now in the moment. Next, you have to accept others just as they are, even when you don't think they are doing right, or they are mean or obnoxious or whatever else they have going on that you don't like. You have to be allowing them to have their experience and be happy or not, nice or not, etc. This is hard, or at least it is for me, but necessary. Finally you have to constantly and consistently turn away from things that feel negative. For me this has meant stopping my obsession with CNN. Look for things that are positive. What is positive for you might be different from what it is for others. For example, I can watch a surgery show and say wow, that's great they were able to help that person. Others could look at it and start worrying about their own health. So when you find something that is pleasing to you, give your attention to that, and when you find something displeasing, as hard as it may be, stop looking at it, stop thinking about it, turn away. And finally, when you do feel down or gloomy, try playing a game with your mind where you search for a thought just a little less bad. For example, if you wake up feeling like the world it out to get you, change that to 'some people' are out to get me... well maybe only Tom and Sue are out to get me... to maybe nobody is out to get me, but I feel paranoid... and so on. Before you know it, you'll be at 'lots of people like me and this is a great day'. Sounds nutty, but it works.
Read the Bible. You'll find out things about yourself and about life. Good luck.
It's easy to be happy with what you accept as it is. You can't be happy with something you're resisting.
The key to true happiness is actually given to us in the Bible at Matthew 5:3. It says: "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them." Money, material things, and even lots of friends and family members only make us happy to a certain extent. We need to feed ourselves spiritually if we are to be TRULY happy. Thankfully, we do not have to figure out the recipe for true happiness by ourselves. Why not? Because our Creator has given us a wonderful book of instruction, the Bible, which is now available in whole or in part in 2,377 languages and dialects—far more than any other publication in the world!
This impressive circulation reflects God’s concern for the happiness and spiritual welfare of all people. (Acts 10:34, 35; 17:26, 27) “I . . . am . . . the One teaching you to benefit yourself,” God says. If we heed his commandments, then he promises us tranquillity and peace, “just like a river.”—Isaiah 48:17, 18. So, focus on your spiritual needs, and above all, take your problems to God in prayer.
i don't think that any person can be happy at all times
you should have understanding to cope up with the different circumstances
happyness may not be there at all times but you should accept the facts and should have guts to live with every sort of situations...
SO,BEST OF LUCK FOR YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!
Accept yourself and your surroundings. Don't let things bother you.
You're alive. You should be happy about that.

Try reading the bible and getting to know the God that created you. He's amazing and can show you so much and give you a sense of purpose.
