I had faced same prob before. So I tried to imagine the whole thing before i did it. Told myself I had to enjoy the show & need to draw the audience attention. During the presentation, you hv to look ard to show ppl tat you're not nervous but dun look into their eyes. Try to use more body language, this surely can help to relax.
In most cases, ppl's reation will make you feel nervous. So the key is trying not to pay attention to wht they're doing. dun look into their eyes. Dun let them convey negative msg to you. When you're going too fast, use some body language to adjust yr pace.
****Practice is the most important thing.
In my country, we do it this way. Stump the door before doing your presentation or put some coin in your shoes. hahaha. Sounds odd, but it does help you get relaxed. But most importantly, study your presentation nights before the actual day and be ready so you won't get nervous. the best thing to do I surmise.
Pick someone out of the audience and speak to
him/her. It helps isolate you from the masses of
people you think are looking critically at you.
Have a few shots of whiskey. It helps to calm yourself.
If your in class, everyone there has to do the same thing right? they have to get up and speak to. When i was taking speech class we had to give 3 oral presentations. i was always nervous but i got up there and thought well they have to do it to so IAM not alone, and you know there is going to be someone that does worse then you, you know. But what got me going was I had to do a persuasive speech on the death penalty and i took the opportunity to educate people on my views without a riot starting. lol jk. but look at your audience (like i did my classmates) like they were personal friends and family and it makes it alot easier, especially if you know they got to get up in the front too. Good luck!
Smoke a J b4 your presentation Or picture the audience naked !

EFT works almost every time. I used it to get over my anxiety disorder... and I got the side benefit of being able to do public speaking for the first time in my life without feeling like I was going to pop from blood pressure or pass out. I understand exactly how you feel. When I was young, I had a hard time in school. I was being abused by some friends, and they made sure that everyone in school treated me badly. I would be spit on walking down the halls, pushed into walls, and during presentations they would all make fun of me and laugh before I even got started. I changed schools because we moved, but I kept my horrible fear of public speaking. I'd throw up before I'd talk, hyperventilate, shake so badly it was impossible to read off my paper. What helped me was having some good friends to go over the paper with me beforehand. I would read it in front of my friends...it was a little easier since it was just them...and they'd help me and give me pointers and cheer me on. When in class, it helped if I didn't look anyone directly in the eyes...I'd look at their foreheads and focus mainly on my friends. Another thing that helped with my nervous energy is that I would grab a paper clip or something that I could bend and while reading my presentation, I would bend the crap out of whatever was in my hands. It kept my hands from shaking and let me focus more on my paper. Of course, for that you need a podium or stand of some sort...if one isn't available, have one hand holding your presentation and the other hand in your pocket or behind your back with the clip. I'm not saying I'm not nervous anymore...far from it. I still get sweaty hands and my heart races and I feel like I can barely breathe (I'm in college now) but it really helps. And hey, I don't throw up anymore. Guess that's one good thing!
