Why cant parents sleep when one of there kids are out late?

Question:
always worried something might happen, always scolding us to come home early

Answers:
When you have kids of your own--get back to me.
My child is the center of my whole universe. What he feels I feel--I'd die for him without any questions.
Have you loved anyone that much?

Be happy that you are loved--- some kids don't get that EVER!
Peace.
When kids are out late, they are usually getting into some sort of mischief. The parents are simply worried about the endless possibilities of bad scenarios that could be going on. They are waiting for the phone call from the police or the hospital with bad news about their son or daughter.
They don't want to get a phone call in the middle of the night saying you are in trouble... or worse!
You'll understand when you're a parent.
they remember what they were doing at that age!
because its love and caring and they worry something might happen to their kid
no kid needs to be out in this world (late at night) they are dangerous people that would hurt them or kill them.
Because we have lived long enough to know
"Nothing much that's good happens after midnight"

Somehow, even in your sleep, there is a sense that
something isn't "right" until every one is in bed and
the door is locked for the last time.
Watch the news, read the newspaper. Even when I was a teen I understood why my parents worried. Now it's my turn. Kids disappear everyday and "accidents" happen even though it's not your fault, seriously we understand this. But if my child died cause I allowed them to go our, or she was kidnapped or raped, I could NEVER forgive myself. So step back and look at it that your parents are punishing you cause they do love you very much.
