How do you stop obsessive worrying about health and life in general?

It seems that I am always worried about something to the point that it takes over my mind some days. I had a yearly physical 5 months ago and still worry that something is wrong with me. Sometimes I worry about just getting through a day without a panic attack which is also a dreadful feeling. I go through spells like this. Most of the time I am ok with the worry, but there are times like now that I feel almost beside myself. Getting out and taking walks or just going to the grocery seem to help. It's when I am at home or alone that my mind goes crazy. Help.

I'm taking anafranil for these symptoms. Lived with them for 16 years and now it's face the problem time. That for me means medication and therapy. You need to break that circle. You are not alone with this problem and do not be ashamed of it. Discuss it asap with your doc and let your friends know. The real friend will stick around for you to TALK! good luck. It's a fight, but you'll come out a winner!!
