My friend is pregnant and not happy at all?

It seems her esteem has gone very low and has suicidal thoughts. She says she's not happy about the father of the baby and is quite ashamed of him since she didn't love him in the first place. But he forced himself on her. Now she's gonna have a link to him for the rest of her life. I dont know what to do to help. Please help.

He forced himself on her? You mean she was raped? She should press charges and talk to someone about that. She doesn't need to relive the rape over, but she should talk about her feelings and learn ways to cope and move on. If it's early in the pregnancy, she may want to consider abortion. Abortion doesn't have to be this horrible traumatizing event that many pro-life hate groups pretend that it is. If not abortion, it's not the right choice for everyone, perhaps adoption might be a better option. I know I couldn't do it.

Encourage her to talk to someone.

I'm not happy about who my son's dad is either but I would say if she doesn't want it, maybe abortion or adoption..that way she doesn't have to deal with that aspect of it . She is going to need you to be there no matter what..to talk to, shoulder to cry on, and so forth
