A druken friend and relative of mine...?
Question:
and all I have to say in my defense is...
If I DID have bi polar than I caught it from them
will this hold up in court?
Answers:
Mental disorders are not transmitted. And in most cases bi polar is just a way of saying we are unbalanced in some way and using a medical diagnosis to explain these tenancies
Bi-polar disorder is not contagious, so the answer is no, it won't hold up in court, *however*...
If they pester you about it soooo much, you can try suing for emotional distress, triggering your latent bi-polar tendencies (because it is genetic, and as you've said, your relative has it) causing you financial losses, etc, etc. Not a bad ploy...
Go see a Doctor who can test you. Most likley a psychiatrist.. There is medication for bipolar disorder. It does run in some families. But, it is not "catchy" you do not acquire it. You are born with it. Why do you have to defend yourself? No, it would not hold up in court.
I would not allow a "drunk' diagnosis anything. I would probably suggest they try AA and a 28 day Pregame for drinking.
no not at all u can't become bi polar from some one else u have it or u get it genetic which means from ur parents
Go see a doc. he or she can tell you
