Dear Nervous Gal :)
Thank you for posting such a good topic for me to write about,
Now honestly Im not going to start talking to you about why nervousness occours because I actually want you to be awake at the end of this reading but I overcame nervousness by a few techniques in which really helped me and I think from what I can read they may help you aswell,
FIrstly " I tell a lot of people this " : When feeling nervous or that feeling of stomach jitters, Close your eyes and ask yourself " What is making me nervous " and this thought can either go one way or the other,
If you can realise what is making you nervous just say to yourself what is the worst case scenario in that thought AND if the worst case scenario DID happen what would you do ( It's sort of like making a battle plan ),
Or it can go the other way in which when asking yourself this you'll wont know why you are nervous, SO when this happens sit down and say
" I have no reason to be nervous and I shall continue to be happy and controlled " and say it like you mean it, And give it a bit of welly :)
There's also some GREAT easy to use breathing technioques ( Which I know you may get a lot of but the point is if you don't try it then you won't know if they work ", Here's a good one that works for me
Breath in through your nose
Hold for 3 seconds
Out for your mouth
Do this about 6-7 times and think about how your controlling your body and your nervousness
I know stomach aches can be annoying in the mornings but you will just have to wake up and think " Right, If I get a stomach ache WHO cares, It's a silly anxiety problem " then start busying yourself with things to do like preparing for school or just tidying your room, If the stomch aches gets worse set an alarm to get up early and use the loo so you wont be late for school
I know anxiety and nervousness can seem like it will never go and believe me I know what it's like but if you take control of your thoughts and realise that you are the only one thinking them, THen you can become your own person and realise you have nothing to worry about
Hope this helps :)
This is completely normal- most people freak out a little speaking to large crowds. There are many ways you can handle this in the future. Read more here:

sounds like u have stage freight. i would have someone there with you backstage that is of comfort. maybe imagine everyone in their underwear, although i don't know how well that works. or you could go to your doctor and get an anti anxiety med like benzodiazepine
omg i am so good at calming nerves, so here goes: ok the english speach: every one has to do one eventually and there was probably someone along the line who was more nervious than you are and theyre speach was probably a lot worse than yours. and the performance: you will do great! just keep thinking that and you WILL do great also it will be over in a mater of seconds and then you will feel on top of the world bedause all of the worrying youve been doing because of this performance are now all fushed down the drain. hope i helped you out =] good lunk with your english talk and your performance, you WILL do great.
This is an anxiety disorder, go talk to your doc and get some meds, they do help honest!!
