Barythymia is also knowns as a nervous depression, alternatively known as an agitated depression.
It is fairly recurrent experience in people with bipolar I or II, as it is a mixed state that can be experienced when the melancholy of depression mixes with the jitters and restlessness of mania. This is considered a very dangerous state of mind and often leads to suicide in the most extreme cases.
