Sleeping Pills: Which are effective?
Question:
Also if you take more than necessary will that prolong your sleep than usual?
Answers:
None are great to take long term but any of the benzos do help. I take diazepam and have done for 18 months but they are only really meant for short-term use and i am now addicted. This causes complications down the line! The best way to go is natural meds like valirum extract, lavender smellies a warm bath and a warm drink of milk before bedtime. You should never really take over the max dose of any benzo, but yes, the more you take the longer you sleep SOMETIMES, but not always. Overdosing on benzos is not good!! I've taken 40 5mg of diazepam in one night once and still woke up the next day at a normal time! Currently I'm searching for a more appropriate long term sedative to use and have been reccommended several different options by peops on here so i'm off to the doc to talk to him. I suggest you do the same! Good luck, sleep deprivation is a horrible thing...i know!

Also I'm sorry i cannot give you the names of " effective " sleeping pills.. because I've never taking any lol i think if you do intend on taking sleeping pills contact your doctor if needed they will prescribe the most effective ones or your situation if you just go out and buy them it could be a waste of time and they might not be strong enough for you
Hope this helps
