Anyone else with Different Anxiety Symptoms than the Norm?

Question:
I've heard so many people describe anxiety has rapid breathing, nausia, flushing, sweating, etc. but mine are so different than most peoples.
Does anyone else have other symptoms like mine? They include "forgetting to breath" or holding breath, pale in color, freezing skin and hands, sometimes fingers turn numb, shakes or shivers, goosebumps, worried and stressed facial expressions, feeling like your body is more of a machine instead of "you", forcing yourself to smile and chat with people, but not actually "feeling" yourself, or trying to "self-talk" to yourself to help you through the day?

I get severe anxiety, but I feel my symptoms are different than most peoples. Anyone else with the same? For me, it's only in social settings.

Answers:
the symptoms vary from person to person..id also be checking your iron levels...i lived anxiety everyday..im recovering now from OCD..obsessive thoughts and feeling sick..thinking i was mad...and ill...full of stress..worry...and feeling helpless..im on a program that you may be interested in..this is not a scam site...its truely a gift from heaven...read it anyways ...its worth a try...hugs
I also have social anxiety. When faced with confrontation, I sweat, my hands and sometimes legs shake really bad. sometimes I cry for no reason at all. My voice cracks, I can't articulate my thoughts, I feel embarrased and angry.
When I'm in a crowded area, I shake, sweat, and kind of otherwise go numb. I find the fastest way through the crowd without talking or waiting for people to move. I do one-word answers and jet. I lose most of my inner monologue, and talk without thinking.
yeah i get a few of those thing.i self talk to myself.but in what context.i refer to myself as anoher person and im usually having a b*tch about that person.. but sometimes i just have a chat to myself in a everyday kinda way...
but yeah somtimes i get cold sometimes i get hot i always get the shakes.i cant explain it.im not sure if i dont 'feel' myself...i cant remember now:P i sory of forget what happens
I have had these. I think this anxiety is more of a severe case like I have experienced.Very uncomfortable but yet not dangerous.Sounds like some symptoms of a panic attack. The fingers going numb is from hyperventilation, the not feeling like yourself is depersonalization.Anxiety can be very crippling , see a dr.
Yes I can totally relate to you. I suffer from severe panic attacks at times disabling, and usually in social type situations as well (but not always). I've experienced ALL sorts of symptoms and I think it effects everyone in different ways. The depersonalization thing you described is pretty common--you're not alone!
