Violent wake up while passed out drunk?

Question:

Ok, i went out to the bar with a couple of friends the other night, and i got pretty drunk. Before i went out, i took a couple tylenol 3's with codeine for a migraine i'd had earlier in the day. A short while after returning home and passing out in my bed, my girlfriend tried to wake me up for some reason. I responded violently, and half coherently...apparently, i punched her, told her I hated her, and made her sleep on the floor. I am not a violent person by any means, i'm normally the most laid-back guy in the room. I don't remember even one second of this episode, but my girlfriend is still very scared. I've never had this happen, and i'm wondering if it was that i was passed out and shaken awake or what...can anyone help?

a bad combo, but people act uncharacteristic many times--waking is one, I once did sex acts I got done to me waking . It can be automatic. THere are different ways people get intoxicated--I get loud.There are ways people tend to wake too. I wake ornery. Maybe, you tend to, too. Get girl back in bed. No prob.

I believe it was the combo of the alcohol and the narcotic pain pills (it says do not drink with them). YOu may of had a bad dream due to the pills/alcohol but since you were so out of it, you don't remember. It is never a good idea to mix pills and booze...I hope you learned something from this. PS: be extra nice to your girlfriend - give her a big hug and tell you are sorry:)

Codeine will make me crazy with out drinking. I have a bad foot and take it for pain but only half a Tylenol codeine because I had bad dreams and could her voices in middle of the night. One time I had two Tylenol codeine in my system and got out of bed looked out the window and seen people running down the road saying f you. My wife said no one was there. If it was me I would take something else before sleeping and give the alcohol a hour or so to get out of my system a little. I drink water to flush out some of it but never take medication when drunk. Tylenol can also destroy your liver if your drinking to much with it. I hope your girlfriend is OK and u be more careful
