You may need some calm-like Yoga or Pilates.
You are off to a great start exercise is the best for anxiety. My favorite suggestion for this question is herbal tea it is good, healthy and it will do the trick! I love the chamomile tea and the is also sleeptime tea for bedtime. Try to limit your caffeine. Best wishes to you.
Stop and breathe...
See a therapist about it. Your doctor can refer you to one. He/She will probably be able to pin down some of the causes of your anxiety and give you some helpful solutions for it. ...Sometimes it takes someone who is not connected to you emotionally to be able to see what the root cause is. Try it, it couldn't hurt!
Good luck!
Talk to a doctor or psychiatrist about possible remedies, like yoga and breathing excersizes. Develop routines and make a collection of positive thoughts to get you through rough times.
I'm in my 40s and I suffered personally from crippling anxiety attacks, generalized anxiety, and depression for several years. I guess I was always kinda full of anxiety right from childhood. I found a technique called EFT which is based on accupressure and I am 100% healthy. Better than I was before the first anxiety attack ever struck. I had profound effects from the very first session, which I struck out and did on my own. You can learn to do it yourself (free manual on the website I list) or I would be happy to help you. It does look odd (you are using your fingers to tap points on your face, hand and collarbone area), and that is okay, because you can do it privately or in a way that it isn't obvious what you are doing. Soldiers are having great success using it for PTSD. Problem is, the concept is so foreign to a lot of people they won't even try.
When one becomes either fearful, or, anxious... one's breathing often becomes quite shallow. Breathing deeply into the diaphram, slowly & purposely, often helps the anxiety (partly from lack of oxygen) to subside.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is supposedly really good for anxiety issues. You can ask your doctor to refer you.
The herbal medications have contradictions and sometimes more side effects than prescription stuff and are not proven to work at all except in cases where a placebo would also do the trick, so unless your anxiety is very mild, don't bother with that.
Yoga might help.
I know you don't want medications which is fine, but you should know that medication for anxiety is not going to stop you from working out or taking care of your kids or your life. Of course, if you're able to do all these things, your anxiety probably isn't bad enough to warrant med use anyways.
Do not have anything with caffine and limit sugar. That prevents alot of anxiety. Try acupunture with a pro trust me it will relax you.
After the kid's have gone to bed then sit down with a nice glass of wine and listen to some really relaxing music that you like.
