How do u get yourself to go to sleep early??
Question:
thx
Answers:
a few options are taking a hot bath with lavender oil, or try heating up a cup of milk, or you can read a really boring book. the bath really works for me, helps to relax your muscles and ease stress in your mind. Definitly try to avoid the pills, they are too addictive.
Try reading a book, otherwise, keep your room dark, and cool.
try a warm drink like tea or warm milk
stay away from coffe a couple hours before you go to bed
a warm bath could help make you tired
also herbal teas with chamomile, peppermint or passion flower make your drowsy
and if you cant get to sleep dont stress over it because the more you think about going to sleep the less likely you will
benadryl really for allergies but knocks most people out
suicide does the trick but sometimes you don't wake up
well i try reading when i cant get to sleep. or try to get it as dark as you can in the room. so it will semm later
By getting up early and not taking naps, your body will learn that it needs to get to sleep earlier to get sleep. This helps you be able to change your body's clock.
If you are consistant - wake and go to bed early, your body will learn. It can take a week. consistancy is critical.
Get some sleepy time tea. It is great stuff and will relax you. Take a hot bubble bath first, then drink the tea. don't think about what time you have to sleep or you will be obsessed and stay awake. Just relax. It will take a few nights to get used to going to bed early.
You have to practise sleeping early.
It is something like bowel habit which
doctors advocate.
It will take a fortnight or so to lapse into
sleep at 10.30 PM.
If not,
before going to bed take some corriandar
leaves from the refrigerator and chew
Take a hot glass of milk before you go to
bed.
Self hypnotisation will help..
Tell yourself that you are going to sleep
early and enjoy a good dream...
Good luck
Seriously - Good luck!
I can't fall asleep without the tv on; but it has to be something I'm slightly interested in. I watch CNN, but I'm guessing the thought of that makes you yawn (pun intended)...
Maybe a fav show or movie you've already seen, but dvr'd. Turn off the lights and get comfy. After 15 minutes (or when you;re ready) roll over and stop watching (just listen) at a sleepy time. - be sure to set TV timer to turn off and set alarm for morning.
The more you concentrate on not being able to sleep, the worse it is. I've been known to turn the tv on in the middle of the night just to go back to sleep. Otherwise I contemplate everything in the world!
Usually the first day you change sleeping patterns you are a bit messed up. You might not get enough sleep, and be a bit tired. If you have time, try getting fresh air and exercise, that will make you tired.
well your brain is trainable and loves routine...you must create a new routine structurally... have rituals before you go to bed "like say a prayr tidy your room, turn on your favorite radio station etc" and your brain will begin to realize that when you do those rituals on a daily basis continually then eventually your brain be like "ITS TIME FOR BED"... dont drink no pop after certain hour it keeps me up n bed...remember that your brain loves structure and some times young people like us DONT... give it a try it works for me.. I got a crazy schedule
eat soo much during the day then lay in your bed
and being occupied you might fall asleep i do that
and its easier
