What is...?

Question:
the more effective and relevant way to get treatment for my mental issues. Going to the hospital or going to a regular doctor.

Please know that I regressed majorly last night and took seven tylenols, four caffeine pills, cut myself and drank some alcohol. I have never been diagnosed and don't take medication, but there are obviously issues and I just can't control it anymore.

Answers:
You really need to go to a hospital straight away. You might feel stupid doing it, but really they can help you so so so much. You need to get yourself through this and back in control, then you can start thinking about the long term. You'll need to start out by going to your usual GP and he or she can refer you to the appropriate people. They'll be able to give you medication and advice phone lines, etc. as well. The medication will suck at first, but it's worth it.

Good luck xxx
Go to the nearest hospital and tell them what happened. You need more help than the local doctor can give you. They will probably evaluate you and put you on some medication.
Either place are good ,but you really need to go to one or the other as soon as possible !
Good luck and PLEASE GET HELP
uhmm.. you should first go to a doctor and then to a hospital to have a physical examination.. i think. just take care though..
It depends where you are and what services are around. It sounds like you need a good therapist and sooner rather than later. Don't get advice off the internet... see a professional. Your doctor should be able to refer you on to someone.
I think going to a regular doctor beats going to the hospital anytime. First of all, because you suspect a mental issue and going to a hospital might just put you in their mental ward without being diagnosed. That, I think, would be humiliating. Secondly, you do not know if there is a simpler solution, such as being prescribed a medication that helps.
It seems you need immediate intervention. You can start by calling your Dr and telling him/her what you went through last night in detail. Chances are the doc will recommend going to a hospital first. Good luck.
Hi..Yes unfortunately you have some 'mental issues' that need assistance ASAP. Your regular physician could refer you to someone they know as to a psychologist or if you have a 'mental health center' in your home town then you could possibly call them depending on your age and possibly set up an appt. You will be evaluated and be asked a series of questions and probably a discussion on how your emotions and your mental stability is so be prepared. Hope this has helped. Good luck!
attend your local treatment centre or doctors.
You may need medication or counselling or both.
Do not suffer in silence there are many many people struggling along. Get help empower yourself, get a family member or friend to go with you.
trya doctor first and then try a hospital
