If I talked to my doctor ... would she ??

Question:
If I talked to my doctor ... would she ??
Alrighty ... I suffer my Anxiety attacks and am on Zoloft and have been for about 4 months now and have to go back for a check up on wednesday. Things I thought were getting better excepct for the last couple of weeks i've gotten really anxious and I had a couple big attacks when out in public. This week coming up I have a big test ... an appointment with my college and then a concent at an arena ( last time i was there about 8 months ago I had a bad attack). I was wondering if on wednesday before these 4 things take place when I go to the doctor if I should see if she would give me ativan or xanax for times that i need to relax myself. I know its not a total fix but i just mean to help me get through big events like these. Any help or knowledge that would help?

Answers:
It certainly wouldn't hurt to bring up the subject of those big events to your doctor. If your doctor feels it's serious enough she'll probably do what needs to be done. Make it clear to her that it won't be on a permanent basis, that this will be an especially difficult obstacle.
Although I am not a medical expert, it seems to me that if your doctor thinks giving you these medications will help you, she will. Tell her what you need your medication for, and she will know how much, if at all, to prescribe. The best advice I can give you is just to trust your doctor, and you'll probably get the medication you need without harm.
She might! It won't hurt to ask. Either she will say yes or she will say no. good luck! Hugs!
