Answers:
It definitely can be. My father suffered from Schizophrenia, and my mother was never officially diagnosed -- but definitely off of her rocker.
I am Bipolar and so is my daughter.
Thank goodness for my medication!
It can be.
It can be. It depends on the mental illness.
I read its like 50 % hereditary and 50 % enviromently induced. There are alot of articles on the internet about it.
In most cases.
Ex: If you have depression, your kids will probably end up having it, too. I'm proof.
Interesting question. Some factors like environment pollutants and others such as shared experiences can lead to similar mental disorders. If there is a gene for craziness then the research to find it is not up to date. Much like alcoholism or some other disorder you may be predisposed to mental illness but no guarantee that you can inherit it. Albert Einstein had at least one kid that was a bit weird and he as you know was a genius.
Mental illness is a failure for some cells or sites in the brain to use too much or too little of the chemicals needed for normal thought proccess. Some research suggest that mental illness is in the genes. The development of mental illness usually starts in the teen years and/or after 2 or 3 serious life events. It doesn't have to be in your genes for you to develop mental illness.
well sometimes it doesnt go threw the whole family but it hereditary
Yes, it can be. Definitely. It usually depends on the illness. But usually people who have others in their family who are ill are "predisposed" for mental illness.
