you should be fine..but if EVER u feel confused, call ur doctor. i have been on lamectol since 2001, the highest dose being 400. i have found that lamectol dosent have any wierd side-rffects of withdrawl, (unlike say....seroquel) but, i wouldnt worry, AS LONG AS UR MOOD IS OK! but, yes its safe, just start back up on the dose u left off w/. not the amount of all ur days missed. i hope this helps.:):):) and dont worry. contact ur doctor though for any reason u might still worry.
Restarting therapy after discontinuation: If lamotrigine has been withheld for >5 half-lives, consider restarting according to initial dosing recommendations.
Id probably either reduce your dose for a few days prior to getting up this high or better yet, ask your dr what to do.
My understanding is that Lamictal builds up in the body and remains there for about two weeks. That means that even if you miss a few days, there is still a lot of it in your body. It is important to start taking it again as soon as you can, but a few missed doses should not show a dramatic change. I have missed a few days at a time and did not notice a change as long as I returned to the correct dose as soon as I could.
If you are uncomfortable, you can call your doctor and just touch base. He or she will tell you if there is anything you need to know to be okay.
