Answers:
get exposed to the things you fear.. once you learned or your mind learned that there's nothing to be feared of then you'll get over it.. don't hide or you'll hide for the rest of your life..
Just go back on the subway and just dont think about it listen to music or talk to a friend. i used to be afraid of them but then i just rode on and listened to music the whole time and then it was easier for me to do it the next time
Phobias are easily resolved by therapy.
NLP developed a one-time treatment.
Look for a therapist who uses the NLP Phobia technique.

Also do a search on the web. May articles have been written about it.

There is a quote by Mark Twain that goes something like "Do the thing you fear the most and the death of fear is certain"... You have claustrophobia, a fear of confined spaces, so practice being in tight surroundings or around a lot of people, allow yourself to note that you do not die or become injured during these times. Convince yourself that the activity is safe, you will soon get over the phobia.
I used to get panic attacks to in enclosed spaces like subways & cars, but I stopped it by talking myself out of it. I would tell myself this is stupid, look at these other people that are doing the exact same thing & they aren't tripping out, so I shouldn't either! It all about self control & manipulation. Take a book or mess with your phone, but don't look up(if you don't have to). It'll get easier & right now your attacks have subsided so the only issue is how you previously felt 8 months ago on the subway. It'll be fine if you hype yourself up before going. Say to yourself, "I'm not going to freak out, there's no point to it" over & over. Good luck!
it is a thing only you can get over maybe take your time and do it step by step
Hi, sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. The following steps will eliminate (or at least significantly reduce) your panic attacks:

1.Breathe properly - if you control your breathing, you control panic. As soon as you notice the signs of anxiety, check your breathing: breathe in slowly through your nose pushing your tummy out (to the count of 5 or so). Breathe out slowly and for a bit longer (to the count of 7 or so) through your mouth. Do not breathe rapidly or shallowly (in the chest area). This will soon restore the balance of oxygen and you will feel a lot better.

2. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy! CBT is proven to be really effective for panic attacks, phobias and anxiety etc. It takes a bit of work, but it is super effective. (After 15 years of panic attacks, mine stopped completely). You can speak to your doctor about taking a course or you can take a course for free online at: www.livinglifetothefull.com - even a few short exercises might help you feel differently about the subway, so give it a try.

3. Try relaxation exercise tapes (progressive muscular relaxation). They really help if you practise often enough. You can get free downloads online, e.g. http://www.studentservices.utas.edu.au/c...

With each step practise makes perfect. (i.e. practise the steps every day, not just when you are feeling bad). I hope you feel better soon. Best of luck!
