No there is no spray at all. Only injections actually paralyze people properly. I work in Theatres and we do it to people once they fall asleep before an operation to stop them moving whilst they sleep. If we could spray them we would. There is obviusly however a few drugs that if you inhale will knock you out. But none of them come in spray form as far as I know and they would knock you out and not paralyze you. Your friend has some facts wrong. There is however a numbing spray (used mainly for children who dont like injections) but that takes about 10 minutes to work and it would make you feel less and not force you to stop movement.

I can't judge on whether she's telling the truth or not, but she could have been sprayed with something like chloroform, which can knock a person out when inhaled.
