close your eyes and try your hardest to sleep. think up a story where you are the main character, it can go however you want it to and be as long as you want.
maybe listen to a slow soothing song then go to sleep. is there too much light in your room? fix that problem if possible.

you should try to watch a movie, watch tv, count pretend sheep, just get comfy and dont move.
Try Melatonin. You can buy it at your local drugstore. It's a natural sleep agent. It is usually used by frequent travelers to avoid jet lag

i used to watch tv and be sure to set the sleep timer. when my eyes gets really tired, i just close my eyes until i fell asleep and let the tv off by itself. don't bother to off the tv becos otherwise, you will stay awake again.

If u want to sleep - just start with a warm milk, and a melodious songs (instrumentals are best)(headphone is best), and sleep in a full dark room...
If u dont want to sleep - Just have tea.. and watch tv with rock musics (headphone is best)
Listen to some music it will help.
Just remember one good thing that you have done today and its effects which can make you happy and your mind will be relaxed and hope you sleep well. Good night
if I can't fall asleep, I play a relaxing CD. I have "sounds of nature" collection and they really do help me fall asleep :)

1)Do some physical work during the day.
2)Wake up early morning.
3)Do something during the day time that makes you feel that you have done a lot today.
4)Keep all your worries away and try to relax and do not try to concentrate on anything when you go to bed. Let yourself free.
5)When you go to bed blow out as much air you can till you feel tiered.( for 30 to 60 seconds) I am not sure of any ill effects. you try it as last option and I do not prefer to do unless you are very desperate to fall asleep.

Lay down & relax your mind. A busy mind is what keeps a person awake.
If you have a problem, imagine that you're crumpling that problem up like a piece of paper & shoving it in a chest. & that you are slowly pushing that chest over a cliff...
It takes an average person 7 minutes to eventually fall asleep...
Hopefully, with thoughts like those, or just having a peaceful mind will eventually put you to sleep.
