hey i am a grate reader and understand things the this that has been bothering me is that i notice a lack spelling skills and i think to myself what about when i get a job lol and they tell me to write something this has been ruminating in my head for a while now any suggestions?

Answers:
Good communication skills are VERY important in the real world. People with poor grammar and improper spelling are not going to get far. Even if it takes you forever to spell check a memo, do it.

There is hope for you! I used to be horrible at spelling. Start a diary on the computer using Microsoft Word. Make sure the grammar and spell check are on. Every time a word gets underlined, go back and fix it. It gets really annoying, but you learn to spell. Now, I only spell correctly out of self defense.
Huh? What exactly is your question?
well, no one really cares if you can read or write well. If you keep writing alot, try keeping a diary, you will gradually become a better speller/writer.
are you still in school?

mabey you have something like dislexia(dont think thats how u even spell it .lol) you could talk to a teacher about it and mabey ask for some extra help from teachers that will help you a lot, just now and later when you get a job. most schools have a support for learning part in their school with staff who are more than happy to help with problems like yours!

Employers wont care if you can spell or not! unless its vital in the career you choose but ther are pleanty of careers that you would be successfull in without being a perfect speller!

so dont worry about it! but grab all the help offered to you, it might make you feel more confident! xXxXx
Buy a dictionary, spend less time on YouQA.com and more time with your nose in a book.
Invest in a good dictionary. Also, use the spell checker. Oh, and you used the word "ruminating" incorrectly. Review grammar and English mechanics too.
Some people just aren't good at spelling. I'm sure you have many other redeeming qualities.
Hi hun! I'm not that great of a speller either. I carry a little spell checker in my pocket. It comes in handy at times but mostly I use it at home for when I'm on the comp and need to spell a word, plus I use my dictionaries. The only other way to bone up, is to begin making a list of words you don't know how to spell and start practice spelling them until you got them learned! Good luck! hugs! Von
Try getting a tutor to help you. One of the learning centers probably can help with this. But to be honest, with word processing on computers, most everybody relies on spell check. One way to work on your spelling is to always do spell check on everything you type. For example, this question. You could have done spell check. Just seeing your mistakes will help you in the future to spell the word correct.
My husband was the one who always had the sweet jobs--$13 an hour sitting at a desk answering phones, etc. And he can NOT spell!

I learn spelling by reading, but it does seem to me that some people just seem to lack the cognitive skill that makes spelling natural.

You pretty much just have to do your best, not worry too terribly much about how it will affect future employment, and be glad for spell check on computers!
I have the same problem and I started doing crossword puzzle to increase my spelling skills
so learn.

Look on the bright side you will never have to worry about being on the job and not being able to spell because if you spell poorly and have bad grammar, you won't get a decent job where you have to worry about it anyway. They give those to good students.

That sounds mean and I'm sorry but that's how it is. There are too many people who work long and hard at ALL the subjects, not just the ones they like. Why should a personnel officer give a good job to someone who didn't?

kim s has a great idea - word puzzles but it takes more than that. you need to know rules and in many cases the root of the word to know how to conjugate it.

its not just the french and spanish who conjugate verbs you know
