What's the best treatment for homocidal thoughts?

Question:
Do you know anybody who's had this problem and they couldn't figure out what was causing them or what to do about them?

Answers:
No, I have honestly never had these thoughts. But since thoughts often lead to actions, your friend needs to seek help right away. Tell him/her not to be embarassed about it (easier said than done) because if he/she were to actually act on these feelings, a lot more than that is at stake. Your friend needs help NOW!
depends on who you want to kill. are these thought or voices telling you kill. either way seek professional help. before you end up on your roof thinning out the neighborhood
you need to talk to someone right away... saying something out loud puts it into perspective... you may find out that you just suffer from anxiety... tell a friend or a parent if you can trust them.. and try to talk to a professional... it sounds like you may just be depressed... don't worry... everyone has issues... i used to have panic attacks so bad that i thought that i was loosing my mind... i also used to be so anxious that i though that i might kill people in my sleep... I'm totally normal now... i was just really stressed and hormonal... sometimes we just get racing thoughts that scare us into thinking negative thoughts..
oh.. and if this is a friend... you should try to get them some help ... they're probably coming to you because their confused and don't know where to turn... guide them to a therapist...
good luck!
tell them to take a vacation somewhere warm and nice!
The best thing is to not take them seriously. If you feel that these thoughts are overwhelming and may over ride rational thought, then the best thing to do is get an evaluation at a mental health facility. Otherwise, try to dissect the reasons for the thoughts and find an alternate solution.
They need to get proffessional help so they can dig into the past to see whats bothering the person and possibly put on medication.

If they can get into a regular program it would there are programs such as PRRP program where you stay at that facility for 3 months you have your own room, toilet, beed and can go home on the week ends.

But it is all volluntary with no drinking or drugs.

Seeing a psychiatrist and getting therapy/medication.
Hi,
Im a Gnostic Priest and a psychology student. First Advice is to go to formal therapy. As a Gnostic I will advice to "self-observe" the event, time, event, were you alone? etc, when thought happen? are they increase? etc.
Then meditate "objectively" with the only objetive to study the "inner state" when it happen and the event or external situation.
Then use the "I AM" to change it. Basically Visualise a White Sphere about the top of your head, this is the God-head, the highest expression of Divinity, it manifest in us in the form of I AM. So if your thought are against somebody in particular you can use something like this: I AM concious diuvine love in full manifestation towards this person (name of the person).
We all have an Ego, in Gnosis the baggage from different incarnation, ignore and chaotic, initiation is the "transformation" of this in Gnosis

doesn't homocidal mean you want to kill gays?
See a psychologist AND psychiatrist. The psychologist will do talk therapy with you and the psychiatrist will be your drug dealer. You DEFINATELY need medication to control those thoughts. Good luck!!
