* OR READ A BOOK
I read a book about my favorite subject. When the weather is nice I like to go for a walk. When I lived near wilderness trails , I would go on a short hike.

Something else, when you are about to lose it, can you distance yourself from the situation and take some deep breaths to help you calm down?
I go online and play games on pogo.com, like wordwhomp. I answer questions on here. I spend time with my animals. I walk on the treadmill or take a long shower.
Smoke some weed. Or go to the Dr. and get some Klonopinn or Ativan..chill you right out dude!!
There are many ways to relax, some better than others, but you must choose one that works most effectively for you.

Meditation / relaxation techniques - this is the best method of relaxation available. This can be done either through using your own favored meditation method, or through the Fast Relaxation CD which guides you through the entire experience, as many people seem to struggle with meditating on their own.

The 30-second meditation - simply close your eyes and taking a few slow, deep breaths - great for when at work.

Hot bath - this will relax almost anyone, especially if you take the time to put some soft music on in the background, dim the lights, and put some relaxing essential oils in the bath as well.

Deep breathing - this simple act automatically brings down your stress levels, by taking some slow, deliberate deep breaths. It sounds strange, but when we are stressed, we often forget to breathe - and so by forcing ourselves to breathe during stressful times can help us to relax and cope with the situation more effectively.

Get out amongst nature - nature is very peaceful and calming to your mind's senses, and can help us to clarify our thoughts. Even if it is just sitting in a park at lunchtime for 20 minutes, this can make a huge difference to your working day.

Exercise - this is a good physical release of emotional and physical energy. This does not mean you necessarily have to join a gym - even walking is an excellent exercise. Any form of moving your body relieves stress and helps circulation.

Tai Chi or yoga - ancient and effective moving forms of meditation, usually requiring attending a weekly class.

Reading - a good way to 'escape the world' for a short time, before coming back to reality.

The most essential key is to find a method that personally works best for you - because the world's best relaxation method is not going to work for you unless you enjoy it! Unless you enjoy it, you will simply not keep it up, which is the most important aspect of relaxation.
