Anything like lexapro?

Question:
I was taking lexapro but my insurance sucks with the co-pay for prescriptions unless it's generic is there anything like lexapro I can ask for ? that works the same I mean . I have a Doctors appt. on the 8th.

Answers:
I believe celexa is very similar, however this is coming from someone with a non-medical background.
i'm sorry i don't know...but i am on lexapro myself and i like it because it isn't that strong...maybe you can ask your pharmacist...they know more about the med's than the dr's do!
There are several anti-depressants in the same catagory as Lexapro, but that doesn't mean they'll work as well for you. The most likely one is Celexa, because it's the same chemical compound, just a mirror image. Work with your doctor to find something else that works that you can afford.
