How can I reach deep sleep?

Question:
haven't been able to sleep well and then the next day i feel tired

Answers:
Are you making your sleeping area conducive to sleep?

Your bedroom should ONLY be used for sleeping. No computer, no television, no books, no weight training gear. Just your bed and your dressers. Then you will begin to associate the bedroom with sleep, and not with activity.

Are you making yourself ready for sleep?

Don't eat less than three hours before bedtime. Don't engage in any exciting activities during that time. Don't drink caffeinated beverages in that time.
finish all your chores, work, etc prior to going to sleep. make sure you have at least 8 hours to devote yourself to sleep. Do NOT try to watch tv, to read a book, or do anything to make yourself fall asleep. This is too much stimulation for the brain and it will keep you awake. Make sure you have clean (not smelly) bed sheets, soft or supportive pillows. temperature wise, that depends on the individual (many people prefer cool room temp. settings). AND make sure NOT to think of anything stressful (personal or work problems) prior to your beauty sleep. Good LUCK!
