Question:
I have a friend that is going crazy, literally. I'm not sure what to do or how to handle it. She drinks constantly and chases it with Xanax (or at least that's my opinion). I know she drinks a lot, and takes Xanax and that's the only reasonable option I have for the way she acts. She destroyed her boyfriends house to the point that he called me to go get her because she was just losing it. At one point she went to her moms house and took a gun and said she sat alone for hours trying to figure out what she was doing. This is all within a matter of days. Once she starts coming "down" from whatever is making her act like this - she acts as if everything is normal and goes about life like nothing happened. It's very scary and I just am not sure what to do. She's an adult, she's not a minor. How on earth do I handle this?
Answers:
She may be bi-polar. I am, however, I knew my behavior was abnormal and sought help. I don't know if all people realize their behavior is crazy and then normal. What to do? That is a hard one. Since she's not a minor, I'm not sure, but she needs to see a doctor. Come to think of it- maybe it's the drinking and drug combo--- that can make people act crazy. Sorry I know I didn't answer question.
you should if you can talk to her about getting to see a Dr!!
if not then call your local mental health inpatient center for help as to what you can do in your country and state they would know what can be done better then i do. or even call the police station during bossiness house
Doesn´t she have any family. If so, they are the ones to handle this.
you have two choices intervene (and risk getting shot at ?)
or
cut her loose. you dont need that. if you feel guilty then offer to help but the help MUST BE MEDICAL or no deal!
