Answers: They are different BUT being a entity that suffers from sleep paralysis and a person who can Lucid dream I will speak it is easier to enter a Lucid Dream after having sleep paralysis but you don't hold to do it that way truly I think what u are referring to is s W.I.L.D (Wake-initiation of lucid dreams) this is when you dance from being awake right into a lucid dream this can and almost will other cause sleep paralysis. This is in reality the hardest and scariest way to into a lucid dream I would try a WBTB (Wake-back-to-bed) its alot easier and u still hold a chance to enjoy sleep paralysis just not as much as a w.i.l.d.

They are different. Sleep paralysis you return with frozen between sleep and awake and you can't move. Lucid dream, you are sleeping and dreaming and you know you are dreaming and you can control your dreams in some ways depending on how virtuous you are at it. And you can wake up when u want to also if you practice it satisfactory.
