Why am I thinking compulsively about something negative?

I think there is a biological explanation for this. Negative thoughts are typical of depression which is often caused by a problem with the neurotransmitter Serotonin.
OCD is treated with an SSRI, a Selective Serotonin reuptake inhibitor.
So you may have some issues with Serotonin.
You may want to do some searches on the Internet.
it depends on what your thinking about. it may be obsessive compulsive disorder. what is it ? ♥
pray. it will contra your pessimist thoughts and be optimistic
move on to something else. its easy to get caught in negativity. but it will spiral down and you can stay in negativity. it will ruin you.
read the book the secret. read all the books on positive thinking.
write on 3x5 cards. I am a positive person, etc.
if you don;t change it can be something more serious. obsessive complusive is a condition.
today say all positive. when something negative comes up let it go.
