Bummed about comments?

That must feel terrible. But just because someone says something doesn't mean it's true. (Everything's subjective.) Most actors, writers, singers, etc. have had rejection after rejection before making it. Personally, I think I'm too sensitive for that kind of life but some people are fine with just continuing to plug away until their voice is heard. I guess you have to decide if you can deal with it or not - if you can still be happy and contented within yourself and accept that not everyone will like your music. (But it does seem very mean for people to pretend to like it and then post bad stuff. They must have self esteem issues themselves or they wouldn't want to have fun by making others feel badly.)
BTW, as an edit, I finally listened to your music on myspace. (My work computer doesn't have sound.) I feel even more strongly now. You guys are good - I don't know - any group could use some work to be even better - but seriously, you have a good sound. Totally do not need to listen to other people with self esteem issues.
don't let them bum you out. they don't have a band...so they can't judge you. ignore the comments and keep up the good work. do it for the music, not for the fans.
i like!!
I would think those who asked for autographs would like your music
Dude, don't sweat the haters. What matters is that YOU like your band and that YOU think you sound good.
People can be assholes. And I understand why you're hurt -- when you're involved in any sort of artistic process, whether it's writing songs or painting pictures or writing poetry -- you're putting a piece of yourself on the line. And it sucks when people mock you. But don't listen to them. Keep making music.
I'd listen to your band but I'm at work. Really, though: keep it up.
What one person thinks is trash can be gold to someone else. Dont let the comments of some people who are trying to bring you down affect you.
They are only one person of the millions on this planet. I am sure people thought that Kiss was the worst band ever and look at them now!
If i wasnt at work I would go to your myspace and give a listen and let you know what I think. But, can't at work. So, instead let me just point out (without having heard you) that you obviously have talent and the right attitude or you'd not have been booked for a third show. Two possibilities occur to me about the people who were flaming you. Either they were of the opinion that your third show was not up to par with your previous efforts or, since they have no talent of their own, they decided to attack you for yours. Don't take what they say to heart. Music is one of the greatest blessings this world has to offer - keep making yours!
The important thing is how you feel about your music. If you are dedicated to it and you like what you are doing, what anyone else thinks does not matter. Many a band succeeded even after the professionals said they wouldn't.
If you want a professional opinion see if you can get an agent to appraise you and sign you on.
