Answers:
when you abuse alcohol you fall in the ditch, when you are addicted you live in the ditch. watch A and E's intervention on Sunday nites. That will answer all your questions.ps Happy Birthday to you ( sincerely)
abusing it is spilling it one ht efloor or not finishing it, addiction is when someone abuses it and spills you are down there sucking it up
Abusing alcohol is just over consumption when you do drink but if your body physically needs it then its alcohol addiction!
Abusing alcohol isn't as "serious" as addiction can be. Abusing would be taking 20 shots of Jack Daniels at once. Addiction is when you're body actually craves it to such an extreme that it believes it needs it to survive. Addicts generally will go down fast in appearance, attentiveness, etc.

Abusers aren't necessarily addicts.

Excuse my grammar.
Abuse leads to addiction, but addiction is much worse. Abuse is typically episodic (binge drinking on weekends) whereas addiction is a daily intake of more than 4 drinks. Addiction may not cause any problems for a while, but when they do arrive people will give up almost anything to continue to be able to drink. This includes jobs, housing, spouses, children, the legal ability to drive, and sanity. Alcoholics develop liver disease, heart disease, kidney failure, insanity,
esophogeal varices (varicose veins inside the throat that can suddenly rupture and cause death by bleeding). Not good stuff.
