Can I get medicaid for BPD since I am unable to work or SDI. I've called some lawyers?
Question:
Answers:
Borderline Personality Disorder or Bi-Polar Disorder?
File your own petition with Social Security. You will be denied at least once. Our local lawyers won't get involved until you've been denied twice. It usually takes about 18 months to get approved. You are eligible for Medicare after two years.
Google Binder & Binder.
In Illinois, in order to get Medicaid, your assets must be no more than $3,000.
Yes you can. In my state (California), almost everyone gets turned down on the first try, but experience success if they stick to it. You need professionals that work in the field to agree that you are not able to work due to the disorder, and they have to support their own opinion. But it won't end there, the system has it's own mental health professionals that assess functioning. Good luck.
I read the question wrong, lisa1cares has it right, if you are just trying to determine eligibility for medicaid.
