Work out at a YMCA... or go for a long silent walk and think of what is bugging you and tell yourself with every breath that I am fine, everything is working perfect for me.
When i'm feeling down, I normally go to my room, listen to my favourite song on full volume, and dance for around 3 minutes. If i'm really depressed I dance for 6 minutes, it depends on the situation. As no one's watching, you can pull out whatever moves you want, so there's no embarrasment at all.
I invested in a swivel chair last week, and sometimes I spin around on it until i'm dizzy. It's the most amazing experience in the world. But if you have any underlying health problems, I wouldn't recommend it.
A more laid back, and less hardcore solution would be to take a short walk, and make sure that whenever you think of something negative, punish yourself by picturing two doughnuts and a cookie making love. I think it's called cognitive behavioural therapy, and it really works.
