You're only 14. Your body right now is at a critical stage. Your brain is still maturing. How you treat it *right now* will definitely matter in your future.

When I was young I thought I was immortal. I could eat candy and drink soda all day. That was all the nutrition I needed. That was my adolescent addiction. Seems harmless enough doesn't it?

Now I have a mouth full of painful teeth and stomach problems.

My parents warned me, but I didn't listen. I was after all "immortal" and not subject to the health problems of my elders. Yet.

I used to feel so sorry for them. Poor things.

But it couldn't happen to me because I was young and 20, 30, 40, 50 years old seemed like thousands of years into the future and things would be different by then with super tech to cure me from all the consequences of my bad diet.

It didn't work out that way.

Please make healthy choices now and wait until you are an adult to make decisions about drug use, alcohol and cigarettes and sex. This is the last leg of your childhood. You will be an adult much longer than a child. Enjoy this time now. Being an adult looks great from the outside...but "it's not all that".

Kids wait all their young years, yearning to be an adult.
Adults spend the rest of their lives trying to recapture their childhood.

Something to think about.

Good luck.
you will be fine, just keep your head up and keep going to your therapist. your so so young it would be a shame to not turn your life around at this age, you still have alot to look forward to!
Here's some inspiration to stay clean..my 19 year old brother died almost 2 yrs. ago from a drug overdose. JUST DON'T DO IT! GOOD LUCK!
there is a website for Narcotics Anonymous, which you might find useful, and there are also meetings in many communities throughout the US.

i am not a therapist but there are resources out there for support (which is important) and help.

i hope your parents or guardians are involved in your recovery. you deserve good support, hon.

hugs
Think of what you want in life. When you get older, what type of career do you want? Where would you like to attend college? Will you want to marry and bear children? Write down your goals in life and keep them to where you can read them everyday and remind yourself that you can reach those goals and you will not allow drugs to keep you from reaching them. When you set goals and write them down, you are more likely to reach them. Even small goals. You are 14, so lets say you see someone you would like to date or have as a girl/boyfriend. Write it down and know that drugs will keep you from being with that person. Making your parents proud would be a goal. Just anything that you would want or want to do. Know that you will get no where with drugs..and I do mean no where. Keep seeing your therapist, find someone to talk to. Study up on the drugs you were doing to see what kind of harm they have caused other people.
Keep it simple. Do three things:
1) Go to NA meetings (you can find ones in your area by going to na.org)
2) When you feel like using, tell someone about it
3) Don't pick up
You can't stay clean. The addiction is much bigger than you are. You need to reach out, there are resources out there than can help you if you are serious about quiting. Trust me I know, I use to be a serious meth addict
